Our Teachers
A great studio would be nothing without incredible teachers! We believe that dance teachers should be good motivators and role models as well as skilled technicians. We foster a culture of community and fun to complement the endeavour to perfect dance styles and techniques.
Aric Yegudkin
I teach Latin American Dance and Choreography
I have been dancing for 16 years and my experience includes starting off as a chubby little juvenile kid. I have a memory of one competition in Melbourne when my partner and I were dancing in the Juvenile Open Latin. She had a cold that day and had a really runny nose. So in between the dances I would pull out some tissues out of the front pocket of my collared shirt so she could blow her nose. I was 12 years old and I could remember the adjudicators all laughing and smiling at me.
.
The thing I love most about dance is: the ability to spontaneously react to the music and express this through my body. Furthermore, I really enjoy the feeling of connecting with another person and dancing in harmony.
One thing that people may not know about me is that my mum still does my washing. Love ya mum. x

Jason Gauci
I teach Zumba, Salsa, Latin, Ballroom and New Vogue
I have been dancing since I have been dancing for 24 years and started off as a chubby 10 year old. From the first day I fell in love with dancing and all the glitz, glamour and gossip that goes along with it – just like in Strictly Ballroom in which I was an extra! Some of my earlier titles include NSW representative, Australian Open Finalist in Latin, Ballroom and New Vogue. More recently my partner and I were chosen to represent Australia in the 2010 World Professional Ten Dance Championship in Ukraine where we placed 23rd in the world. With salsa I have also been Australian representative to many Congresses in Asia and USA.
The thing I love most about dance is is the big smile it brings to everyone’s faces when they start getting into it. Everyone forgets about their daily stresses once the dance shoes come on. The great thing about dance is that you are constantly using your mind to remember steps and routines and at the same time the high levels of physicality and fitness. Healthy mind/healthy body – hand in hand with dance!
One thing that people may not know about me is that I was an investment banker for 13 years before deciding to leave and focus on my dancing ambitions and teaching.

The thing I like most about dancing is is the feeling of becoming one with the music and the amazing sensation of speed, control, balance and connection first and foremost with your partner and then the audience.
.
I also love the hidden language of dance… When the magic happens there really is nothing else like it… The ultimate balance of Mind, Body & Spirit…
The thing you do not know about me is that I sing and play the Bodhran at Church every sunday, I worked at a racing stables during the school holidays and at one stage wanted to be a jockey.

Hi,
I am looking for a dance studio where my partner John and I can learn to partner dance.
We’re not getting married but attend lots of events where great music is played and we’d like to be able to confidently partner dance together. We’d also like this to become part of our regular fitness routine but getting really good!
We’re looking for a teacher who won’t teach us super traditional styles (ie dancing with the stars styles) as most of the music we listen to is top 40 70,80,90s and now plus the odd classic. But equally, if my dad asked me to slow dance with him if a crooner song came on, i’d like to be able to do this confidently.
Do you have any teachers who could give us private lessons and we’re not interested in being in a big class where we swap partners all the time.
Thank you,
Sasha
